Heredity is fascinating to study! What traits did you inherit from your mom? What traits did you inherit from your dad? As part of the 5th grade curriculum we will explore some of the traits that are passed from parent to child (5th grade science standard 5). Last week we examined which traits come from which of our parents. Now we will look at the characteristics of different dog breeds to further understand how traits are passed down from parent to child.

Record any thoughts that come to mind in your science notebook so we can discuss them in class on Monday.
